Our community centre’s prime objective is to promote the betterment of the Higher Folds Estate, its people and surrounding areas, we do this by providing a warm and safe space for all and by creating activities to support the residents of Higher Folds.

Our Spring Fayre and open day is a great way for us to showcase some of these activities, so on Saturday 13th April between 10.00 and 15.00 you can come along and see for yourself.

There will be access to our fabulous Nursery, where you can meet the team and have a look around and the Grocery will be open throughout, no membership is required so you could pick up some essentials or goodies whilst you’re there.

We also have some great stalls, activities and guest organisations on show, including The Dogs Trust, Digital Wigan and Be Well plus many many more.

The Dogs Trust are the best place for dogs in need. When a dog is at risk, they help them get back on their paws with healthcare, training, rehabilitation – and lots of love, fabulous!

All dogs deserve a loving home. The aim is to find every dog in care somewhere to call their own. If you are a dog lover why not come and have a chat with the team and find out more about their important work.

Digital Wigan are a specialist arm of Wigan Council and part of their remit is to educate and help up skill residents of the borough. This is a great opportunity to use some superb kit and learn new computer skills. You will be blown away by the Virtual Reality kit, which you can use on the day! It is amazing.

Be Well is there to help residents of the borough to live a healthy lifestyle, to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. The team will be on hand to offer advice to individuals and families regarding ways to achieve a healthier lifestyle and to access some of the many excellent activities available to all in the borough.
